“A full clean” means different things to different companies, which is exactly why people get surprised. Here is our actual checklist, so you know precisely what is and is not included before anyone walks through your door.
Every room, every visit
- All reachable surfaces dusted, including sills, shelves, and furniture
- High-touch points wiped — switch plates, door handles, railings

- Trash emptied and liners replaced
- Floors vacuumed and hard floors mopped
Kitchen
- Countertops cleared, cleaned, and disinfected
- Sink scrubbed and fixtures polished
- Stovetop degreased; exterior of oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave wiped
- Microwave cleaned inside
- Cabinet fronts spot-cleaned

- Floor vacuumed and mopped, including along the toe kicks
Bathrooms
- Toilets cleaned and disinfected inside and out, including the base and behind
- Showers and tubs scrubbed, including doors and tracks
- Sinks, counters, and fixtures cleaned and polished
- Mirrors streak-free
- Towels straightened, trash emptied
- Floor vacuumed and mopped, corners and behind the toilet included
Bedrooms
- Beds made, or linens changed if you leave them out
- Nightstands, dressers, and surfaces dusted
- Mirrors and glass cleaned
- Visible tidying — without moving or organising personal belongings
- Floors vacuumed, including under the bed where reachable
Living and common areas
- All surfaces and electronics dusted
- Upholstery vacuumed; cushions straightened

What is not on a standard checklist
These belong to a deep clean, not a maintenance visit. Any of them can be added — just ask when you book:
- Inside the oven and refrigerator
- Baseboards and trim, wiped by hand
- Grout scrubbing in kitchens and bathrooms
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans
- Interior windows, sills, and tracks
- Inside cabinets and drawers (standard on a move-in clean)
- Behind and beneath heavy furniture and appliances
The distinction matters more than it sounds. Deep clean versus regular clean covers why, and how to prepare for a cleaning explains how to get the most from each visit.
Moving out instead?
A move-out clean is a different checklist entirely — the home is empty and the standard is the landlord’s, not daily living. Use our Utah move-out cleaning checklist for that.
